This place should be shut down!I have not been able to talk to my grandmother for 2 months! Her first night she fell and hit her head so hard she had to go to the hospital! This is the whole reason she's at the facility to help protect her from these things happening! The hospital assisted in putting her here I am dumb founded! They won't assist her in charging her cell phone! Instead they have made the excuse that she does not have it.I call the facility to be put threw to her and the phone looses connecting because it's too far from reciever!I am this womens medical power of attorney and this facility has not once talked to me about her care!Only one call to tell me she contracted covid and will now be In isolation!!GREAT ISSOLATE THE POOR WOMEN AWAY FROM EVERYONE IN THE WORLD.I am sick to my stomach knowing she is lonely and not taken care of!I am involving an attorney to get this place held accountable for their actions!

The building on the outside does look a little dilapidated and it didn't really give the impression of improvement. My family member was there only about 24 hours but gave three descriptions. She wasn't given pain medicine for 18 hours, but when she was released into my care, they informed her she could have medicine and even more to ensure the pain was gone. Some of the staff at night were a bit unsympathetic. The food she was given was sub-standard but that might have been do to her having the Covid Virus recently. She did feel very unsafe as if she had lost her freedom. When she called me my heart was driven to action. I immediately was there in 15 minutes and she was released within 45 minutes. Not all staff are to be held responsible and shouldn't be given any criticism. Some advisement would go along way, such as understanding discharge procedures on medication. Proper tone of voice and a smile so communication is professional and relieves tension after having been sent to a unfamiliar place. My family member was not physically harmed, verbally abused, or mentally abused. It was simply the lack of effort in taking responsibility for those in they're care and being courteous at night to speak softly and to not slam any doors.I will continue with another evaluation after my loved one gets rest.As for now I give a round of applause to Susan who is new to the facility but was very kind in her demeanor and gave me full attention. My loved one also confirmed that a Carlson Reed for physical for physical therapy showed professionalism and I concur after having met him.The Best thing for now is to file any reports of misconduct, neglect, or unsanitary conditions to the state of Texas Medical Board so that they make evaluate this personally. I am not condemning the facility based on seeing for myself but my family's alarming concern.I would consider with caution this facility as for now and have a walk-through for yourself. Be ready to keep a record of any problems so that training can be done. A correction is always a positive response with exception of criminal violations to your loved ones. I hope this is helpful and will give updates as they come. I hope all of your family who must attend this facility has a more positive review then this unfortunate introduction.

Terrible facility. Should be shut down. My father was transferred here from Medical City due to COVID and put on a locked isolation unit. It was impossible to reach anyone to get updates. He declined significantly due to lack of care and is now in the ICU. Horrible patient care.

Do not send your loved ones here. My grandmother was abused physically, verbally & emotionally. She was hospitalized on two occasions because of it. Highland (Melinda & Jenny) made it almost impossible for us to transfer my grandmother into a new facility and we came very close to taking legal action. They purposely avoided calls, emails, voicemails and delayed paperwork as much as possible. The staff does not care for its patients, or their families. They are rude, careless, incompetent, and unprofessional. The facility is dirty and awful. Moving her here will forever be a decision we will regret forever.
